Common questions from parents about teams, coaches, the season and registration.
Who can play?
All children, boys and girls, from kindergarten through 8th grade.
What team will my child be playing on?
Players are drafted based on their age and skill level at the beginning of their first season and can stay with the same teammates each season. The league keeps players from the same neighborhoods and schools together whenever possible.
The drafting staff makes reasonable efforts to honor special requests while keeping teams balanced. Placement takes into account each player’s school, buddy request, grade and age.
Do you accept team registrations?
No. To keep teams from being “stacked,” friends or school groups can request the same team as long as all players’ skills are reasonably competitive. This keeps the league balanced.
A buddy request is just that: a child can ask to be placed with one or two friends. It does not mean a coach can request 10 players.
How many players are on a team?
Each team has an average of 8 players. The league may adjust this if needed.
Does the league supply uniforms?
Every player receives an official NFL reversible team jersey and a flag belt to keep with their registration.
Who are the coaches?
Coaches are experienced former players, coaches and parent volunteers. Coaching and staff positions require prior experience. You can apply online to coach a team or join the staff. Space is limited, so apply as soon as possible.
Who are the officials?
Referees are typically CIF certified (High School Athletic Association). They are the same referees you may see at local high school games. Each official is trained and licensed to call a fair game for both sides.
How much playing time can my child expect?
The league emphasizes participation, fun, teamwork, fundamentals and player development. Coaches give every player fair and balanced opportunities. Playing time varies with attendance, development, performance, position, team needs and game strategy.
As players grow and show commitment, more playing time can follow. The goal is for every player to develop, contribute and be part of a team, not to count minutes on the field.
How long is the season?
Eight weeks, with weekly games and midweek practices on safe, well-maintained fields. The season includes certified officials, the official NFL FLAG reversible team jersey, flag belt and flags, and an official team photo.
Are there playoffs?
Kindergarten through 4th grade finish the season with a Bowl Game. 5th through 8th grade have playoffs.
Do all players need mouth pieces?
Yes. Mouth pieces are mandatory. All players must wear a mouth piece before stepping on the field. No exceptions.

Which areas do you serve and what ages can play?
We serve the South Bay of Los Angeles and nearby cities, including Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Gardena, Lawndale, Lomita, Carson, Wilmington, Lennox, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, Palos Verdes Peninsula and Long Beach.
Players from 4 to 14 years old are eligible.
What are the divisions and age groups?
